Default Cancer - what a fucking horrible disease

My boy Jack (almost 7) has a best friend called Taylor they are always staying round eachothers houses, they play in the same footy team etc etc. Anyway Taylors dad (paul) i get on really well with, we've become good mates since our lads have become best mates and he is a really really top bloke who would do anything for you, we go round there for barbies etc. now he lost his mum to cancer in May...he was a pretty broken bloke, his kids also loved their nan and were rightly devastated too. The kids are now starting to get over it.

    Anyway..

Paul has had bad pains in his stomach since just after his mum passed away. He's had loads of tests done and they didn't know what was wrong with him, we all assumed it was inflammatory bowel disease as we know someone with colitis and they have the same symptoms. So he's still in pain and on pain killers and this morning he got the results of some more test he had done and guess what?...yep you got it...that cunt of a disease, the one that shows no mercy, doesn't care who it picks, has reared its ugly head again and he has cancer. Not sure about any other details yet as rightly so needs time to sink in only just found this out this morning but either way...its pretty damn sad.

Kids have only just got over losing their nan to the big C. Obviously kids will be shielded from the news until the time is right but they know something is up, especially the 10 year old girl who is exceptionally bright and is on the gifted register.

This fucking disease pisses me off, not only is he a good mate of mine, he's 2 years older than me (37)...got two lovely kids and is a top bloke. Why doesn't this fucking thing strike down people like Gary Glitter, Roy Whiting and countless other fucking nonce cunts and shit kickers. NO it picks kids and good people.

People who choose to believe in god (i'm not knocking you by the way...thats your choice) how the hell do you maintain faith when shit like this happens.

Anyway sorry for rant guys just very pissed off at the mo.

I hope they find a miracle cure for this shit soon.

Sorry to hear that Munky; I hope your friend can beat this.

My best friend passed away from stomach cancer in March of 2000 and I watched him fight it since mid 97'. He was the best friend I ever had and watching him go from about 230 to 120 and be able to pick him up broke my heart. I would have traded spots with him as he was older and had a wife and 2 kids and watching the family go through that was difficult. He was more like a father to me than anything; and the day we said goodbye was the day something inside left me.

Probably not what you wanted to hear but I know 1st hand about this particular kind of cancer. Best wishes to your friend and his family

My Grandfather on my Dad's side (he was around 68 when he passed cigars...he got stomach cancer) AND on my Mom's side (he was 37 when he passed, Camel unfiltered cigarettes, he had lung and breast cancer and yes men can have breast cancer and it's curtains when they get it) died from cancer along with a couple family friends and my best friend since I was like 3 years old had leukemia when he was growing up, you could never tell today though.

Cancer is a horrible disease but sometimes things just happen bad and good and it rains on the just and unjust alike. ALS is a pretty horrible disease too

I will still have a cigar every once in a while but it's rare that I have more than one every other month.

Sorry to hear about your friend Munkey.

In July, my Uncle had an operation to remove cancer from his intestines. They took out almost a foot of his guts, but he's been testing negative for it since then.

I'm supposed to get screened for it because of my Uncle, but I haven't been able to bring myself to provide a stool sample yet. I know that's a stupid reason and that I'm playing with fire, so I'll get to it soon, but I'm just embarrassed about having to do it.

Anyways, people do survive it, so hopefully your friend is one of them.

One of my family friends had cancer but he apparently took the news with a good attitude, he's always in good spirits (both in thought and drink ). He had colon cancer and had surgery and after he told everyone that he said "Now I have a semi colon".....true story

Yeah its a prick, sorry to hear about that too.
Strange thing is when people get over it (which ever way) they say 'oh he fought cancer and won' but really the ones who get over it for real, Firstly imbrace it or life first, it second. When you fight theres friction and cancer likes friction when you send it or the area it is effecting your love,it frequently diminishes.
You asked how someone can keep faith when we get such things.' The Creator and the creative forces of love and light don't give you anything except exactly that which it is;love and light, the rest is up to us. We are not victums of some higher source while we are down at this level.God fearing people do that but theirs is what is known as blind faith and blind they are.
We can have anything and everything from this platform and we have the numbers to explore every single avenue open to us all and we do it, for better and for worse. Every disease is horrible and every disease is simply
dis ease which usually starts with deep feelings mainly secret fears that then run into subconsiouss and sometimes even consiouss thoughts, then your whole system has been given the power and backing to turn it into physical dis ease.

Something I learned about Cancer recently...

If you have liver cancer and it spreads to your... brain. You have liver cancer in your brain and not brain cancer. Where ever the cancer starts it's those type of cells that spread to other parts of your body and latch on as they travel through your blood stream.

Sorry to heaqr about that Munky I truly am I hope your friend recovers 100%...

I just lost my Mom a few weeks ago to cancer...She had 2 heart attacks and open heart surgeries with in a yr...as she was getting better from the second and was home one day she just had a stroke with no warning,,,in hospital we find out she had tumor,,,,they give surgery on the brain...find out the tumor is too big to get rid of completly but is begnine...she gets radiation treatment it starts to shrink then has another stroke....goes into rehab a few eeks later after a month starts to recover even walking up 2 stairs at a time (This is after 2 heart attacks open heart surgery, brain surgery and 2 strokes)...

We think she is progressing well the doctors are positive then the gets deathly ill,,,back in hospital we find out she has tunors in her back, a few days later they find lung cancer, then liver cancer (Goes with what BG was saying about it traveling to the brain up the spine)....

She was pretty much just medicated for pain until she passed...

Horrible disease...I wish it on no one.......I know what we witnessed with her and i feel for anyone who has it..

Update guys. He has been diagnosed with a pancreatic psuedotumour. A benign tumour that gives of malignant characteristics or something. Really really rare only 140 cases reported in the UK ever.

Basically, he's not going to die. Fella thinks he has been given another shot at life. He's on heavy steroid treatment and will have to have surgery but he doesn't give a fuck since he wont have to sit his kids down and tell them this is the last christmas he will be spending with them.

I think preparing himself for death and then being told its a mistake and that its benign has invigorated his life somewhat. When he was told it wasn't pancreatic cancer and that it was this 'psuedotumour' his brother was so mad at the medical professionals but Paul (the chap in question) was so happy he just wanted to kiss everyone. Fella was in tears when he told me over the phone he wasn't going to die.

Anyway, suffice to say we are all over the moon with the news. Think the professionals at the Royal Marsden will be using him as a bit of a test subject though since its so rare.

Doesn't detract from the original message though that cancer is indeed a horrible fucking disease and my sympathies to anyone who has been touched by it, including those in this thread.

    Peace guys

wow, great news, that's unbelievable, talk about being on a high.

My mom had breast cancer twice, I was fairly young but now I know that the second time it was apparently touch and go, funny (not funny but you know what I mean) how some people survive it and others don't, I don't have any illusions that it was because my mom was somehow "stronger" than other people that get it and don't make it, guess you need a bit of luck.

Really horrible disease, a lot in my family which I guess genetically is not really stellar news for me but no point in worrying about it I guess.

Good one, pancreas hey! Now he will view life as being sweet again and his pancreas will react to that feeling too.
Pancreas is linked to the sweetness of life .

Mick The breast is about nurturing.Women who have no time for themsleves like (self nurturing) are more prevalent to getting Breast cancer.
It can be reversed faster if they live for themselves more and love themselves more in that situation.

If she says to herself continually, at least three times a day; "I take in and give out nourishment in perfect balance. I love myself,I loving release all the past,i choose to fill my world with joy."

That covers cancer and the breast subconsiously which will help her mind to make her system go into reverse, cause deep down she feels or thinks the reverse to that, and her body is taking orders from her deper feelings or subconsiuss thought.

Copy this to paper and hand it to her mate, can't do any harm.
You have to fight cancer on as many levels as you can. I firmly belive deeper feelings set in over many years, fears, hatred, etc are usually the tip of the root to your system going haywire.Although cancer can be genetic and so the triggers are less in those cases; you see cancer in people who have longstanding hurt issues so much more.
Like bowel cancer ,they all hold onto something from the past and it is in their physical area where the feeling of release, of all waste is required for best health.
90% of the time bowel sufferers are holding onto past issues, once they are realized consiouslly and the reverse thought planted, the cancer is reversed too.

The list goes on. Mens libido ususally falls off through middle age unless they in a habit style of sex release . Men who dont feel they are up to scratch in bed start to generate fear around the organs involved; usually the prostrate goes out first.

I had a chick come to me once cause she had suffered with ear weeping infections and itching continually for litterally years and they couldnt find anything wrong.
we sat down ,I thought I was going to have to do some energy style work on her to reverse what was happening but after talking and her opening right up, it turned out she was'nt listening to her body at all in regards to a move she was about to make that was going to effect her whole life, she also wasnt hearing what her boyfriennd was literally saying to her by doing something work wise.
Once we bought that out into the open and she cryed it out (cause it was hidden); she relalized it consiously she could then deal with it openly and it all got better.
