    Default Thank God!!!!

MY BEER IS BACK ON THE SHELVES!!!

Yes my good old Dixie Beer was almost KO'd by Hurricane Katrina (it was the only casualty I cared about ).

Please rejoice with me beer lovers! Dixie Beer, Blackened Voodoo, and Jazz (the light beer which I haven't tried before) are all back in their proper places....the store shelf and my refridgerator!!!!!

If you can get it you HAVE to try it, fyi for all you True Blood viewers they drink Dixie Beer as well.

I've never had any of those. I'm out of beer, but I have a broken toe so I can't easily get to the liquor store. As a result, I've been reduced to drinking fireball whiskey tonight. Pity me.

Never had any of that stuff either. I'm loving my Newcastle and my Red Stripe (which I finally got around to trying) these days.

The local beer here, though reputed to be good, is sub-par IMO. Vancouver Island Brewery is ok, but that's about it.

Is it exported anywhere or is it strictly a local beer?

Well I live in North Carolina and it's brewed in New Orleans so it's not STRICTLY local but it may be regional for the time being as they are still getting back to 100% after the hurricanes.

    DISTINGUISHED BRANDS INTERNATIONAL - DIXIE

Newcastle is the nectar of the gods. I need to find a way to the LQ... all this talk of good beer while swilling fireball is killing me.

I'm fully in to that. As long as it's cost effective... How much does a 6-pack cost where you live? Here it's at least $10, and that's for shitty stuff. Newcastle/Red Stripe costs me about $13 for a 6'er.

$13 for 6 beers?!?!?! What kind of God awful hell hole do you.......oh yeah Canada, I'm sorry

It's pretty cheap here, I think the Dixie costs around $8 a 6 pack which is great for a microbrew

Yeah, the gov't taxes the shit out of booze. However, weed is cheap, potent, and plentiful.
