My thoughts exactly, the guy fought a brave fight against a weight drainde Cotto but in reality he got busted up, maybe the Cotto fight took a little out of him? Who knows but i think Bradley and Witter would beat Paulie.

I think Paulie could edge a decision against Bradley.

I don't understand it...teh guy has the tools but for some reason seems to fall short....He looked great in the first round last night the that seemed to be it.....Where were his combos?....Where was the movement?.....all he did was bend down and tie up........Hatton is not that hard of a puncher to just stop him in his tracks like that......

    Oh well big disappointment.....

I will say this I think Hatton is still recovering from the PBF beating if he seriously would consider fighting DLH......It would be a massacre....At times I think Ricky does not think before he speaks....and all that "Well what kind of champion would I be if I didn't" crap does not fly.....

There is being a champion then there is just being stupid....

I think the Miguel Cotto fight ruined him, i thought he looked pretty good in the fight with Miguel Cotto. And previous fights before the Miguel Cotto fight, but ever since the Miguel Cotto fight its all gone down hill. Once you get a beating like that your never the same, and that was some beating even though he was competitive.

im not so sure about that. Bradley can beat him thats for sure. if Bradley can stand Witter how much more on Paulie who although has the tool but he is lacking in power and has a very fragile hand.

But Like Ricky, a very decent kid who is in touch with himself and has no illusions, A good sportsman and you have to feel for him on that stoppage which Buddy should not have done. Why humiliate a guy who gave his all to a monster like Cotto. I think he should not take his sizable purse and get out unless there is one more big money fight out there for him--which I doubt.

Paulie is too young to retire and Hatton will be moving so he can still dominate the weight.

Both N'dou and Ngoujo, Paulie went life and death with, and they are B,B+ fighters imo And so is Paulie. Just a hair below that elite level.

That's not right. You yourself raved about his perfomance against N'dou (first fight). Which came AFTER the Cotto loss and is clearly his BEST win.

He's just not top class. And for all Hattons faults, the worst version would have beaten Paulie at any time.

Paulie is a good fighter , but in an ideal world he would never be classes as a world champion , if there was 1 champ per division hed be a long way short of being a champ.
    but he has balls .

He has no power whatsoever and isn't incredibly skilled by any means, its pretty surprising that he has gotten as far as he has. For what he is he needs to be far far far more defensively skilled.

The last three fights have been rough.
