Thread: Has Paul Williams ever been seriously rocked?

I know he took some big shots against Quintana and to a lesser extent Margarito, but has ever been seriously hurt or dropped badly?

Off the top I remember Sharmba Mitchell wobbling him funny with a fast hook (?) or a right.

Darios Landed some serious bombs on him, and Margarito buzzed him late,He was weary on Tony's late power/arsenal.The thing is, as he moves up,he does catch alot of shots.....they tend to hit harder up there.Love his workrate and body attack though.

I do remember him looking a bit bothered by Margarito's shots late in the fight, but I can't recall seeing him truly hurt or dropped hard. I've never seen the Mitchell or Darios fights though.

i never seen paul seriously rocked but just stunned a little. quintana and margarito hit Paul very hard and never went down.

The worst he was ever hurt was against Mattyse (sp?). He was never hurt against Margarito; sometimes he gets off balance which makes him look hurt, but you can tell he is fine when you look at his facial reaction plus the fact that he keeps throwing punches. Very sturdy beard, though you have to wonder how it will hold up at 160.

He was definitely stunned against Mitchell I think in the 2nd round, it was a short left hand that he never saw. In fact Sharmba's left bothered him all night but Mitchell was just way to outsized and he wasn't able to stop Williams from punching as he got inside but yes he was wobbled in that fight but answered strong.

Quintana used the straight left hand lead to essentially beat Williams in their first fight I'm sure he took notes from the Mitchell fight.

Yeah I think he was hurt most against Matthysse.

He's never been seriously hurt but as mentioned Sharmba rocked him.
