Default This seems REALLY fishy to me...(DLH weigh in)

I know its irrelevant now because Pac beat DLH like he stole something, but does this seem fishy to anyone else?

Pacquiao tipped the scales at a surprising 142 lbs during Friday’s weigh-in, numbers that prodded American trainer Freddie Roach to take a close look at the scales when De La Hoya stepped on it.

De La Hoya came in at 145 lbs.

“I was surprised at my weight,” Pacquiao told journalists Friday night at his suite at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay. “Before I went to the weigh-in, I checked my weight and came at 146 lbs

I was wondering why DLH came in 2 lbs under the weight limit, especially at this age and the fact he never weighed in at WW in 8 years. Especially with Valero's accusation that DLH never put a lot of work in for this fight.

This may be the conspiracy theorist in me speaking, but is it possible they could have tampered with the scales to allow DLH to make the weight? If pac's scale is right, that means DLH could have been 149 to 150 at the weigh in.

I dont know, maybe I'm reading too much into it, and like I said before its irrelevant now, but given Oscar's trouble with making WW and the fact that he is The Golden Boy, I can't help but find this fishy

didn't almost eveyr other single fighter who weighted in on the SAME SCALES come in BANG ON the mark for their weight though... highly doubt that it was off.

Pacquiao probably just had a shite before the weigh in.

well that would mean that unofficially come fight night Oscar lost 2 or 3 MORE pounds as he came in less then. instead of re-hydrating over night he lost more doubt it.

The thing that amazed me was that Oscar only put on 2 pounds after the weigh in. Surely he had to be weight drained?

Oscar looked unhealthy walking to the ring. His skin coulor, his face looked drained as did his body. He looked like an old fighter, and a weight drained fighter. i thought for sure Oscar would win but when I saw him and heard he weighed in at 147 fight night, I was concerned when he got in the ring.

If they ould rig the scale once, they could do it twice. I'm sure they would have thought about the next day weigh in.

There's one hell of a lot of money at stake. Draw your own conclusions here.

I'm a little sceptical that PAC's own scales would be 4 pounds off.

what else seemed a little bit odd was the fact that oscar weighed in on the night of the fight, when was the last time he did that, i know for a long time oscar has refused to let hbo know his unnoficial weight on the night of the fight

maybe the scales were rigged and he was trying to prove a point regarding the criticisms about the fight being a mismatch due to the size difference
