Default If you could create your own roster...

Who would you have, you have let's say 48 slots to fill. What weight classes would you have and who would you have in the game?

    Heavyweight
    1. Ali
    2. Frazier
    3. Foreman
    4. Lewis
    5. Tyson
    6. Holyfield
    7. Bowe
    8. Holmes

    Light Heavy
    1. RJJ
    2. Holyfield
    3. Toney
    4. Hopkins
    5. Pavlik
    6. Calzaghe
    7. Wright
    8. Foster

    Middleweight
    1. Hagler
    2. Leonard
    3. Hearns
    4. Hopkins
    5. RJJ
    6. Pavlik
    7. Wright
    8. Taylor

    Welterweight
    1. Robinson
    2. Leonard
    3. Hearns
    4. Duran
    5. Mosley
    6. Cotto
    7. De la Hoya
    8. Mayweather Jr.

    Lightweight
    1. Duran
    2. JC Chavez
    3. Mayweather Jr.
    4. Pacquiao
    5. Mosley
    6. De la Hoya
    7. Whittaker
    8. Casamayor

    Featherweight
    1. Pacquiao
    2. Salvador Sanchez
    3. Azumah Nelson
    4. Morales
    5. MAB
    6. JMM
    7. Jorge Paez
    8. Naseem Hamed

If I had a couple more fighters I would have added more current or recent fighters

At first I thought it would be easy but it got really hard because I didn't just want to include 1 fighter here and there but more like 3-4 fighters here and there because of the rivalries and hypothetical match ups I want to create.

Obviously different fighters go over to different divisions, so I'm only gonna do a fighter once, although obviously in the game they could fight in different ones (e.g. RJJ, PBF, Duran). I'm gonna go with the divisions you've got, plus 4 more in lower weights.

    Heavyweight
    1. Ali
    2. Frazier
    3. Foreman
    4. Lewis
    5. Tyson
    6. Holyfield
    7. Bowe
    8. Holmes

    Light Heavy
    1. RJJ
    2. Adamek
    3. Toney
    4. Hopkins
    5. Dawson
    6. Calzaghe
    7. Kessler
    8. Andrade

    Middleweight
    1. Hagler
    2. Hearns
    3. Lamotta
    4. Monzon
    5. Abraham
    6. Pavlik
    7. Wright
    8. Taylor

    Welterweight
    1. Robinson
    2. Leonard
    3. Margarito
    4. Trinidad
    5. Paul Williams
    6. Cotto
    7. De la Hoya
    8. Berto

    Lightweight
    1. Mayweather Jr.
    2. JC Chavez
    3. Arguello
    4. Pacquiao
    5. Mosley
    6. Duran
    7. Whittaker
    8. Casamayor

    Featherweight
    1. Salvador Sanchez
    2. Azumah Nelson
    3. Morales
    4. MAB
    5. Juan Manuel Marquez
    6. Naseem Hamed

    Bantamweight/Lower

    1. Vazquez
    2. Rafa Marquez
    3. Juanma
    4. Darchinyan
    5. Calderon
    6. Lopez

That is a lot tougher than you'd think. Leaving out the Klitschkos & Haye bothered me as did a load of other fighters.

Well both of you went slightly over 48 fighters, but you can now fully understand how difficult it is for the guys who make the game to get a roster that suits boxing fans in general.

LA, Gene Tunney was one of the greatest light heavyweights(and maybe P4P fighters) of all-time so you are perfectly correct in placing him there. He only fought 3 fights at heavyweight 2 vs Dempsey and 1 defense vs Tom Heeney and then he retired with a 80(48 KO)-1 record.

If I didn't fill the slots with fighters I put in multiple divisions I would have put in:

    Heavyweight
    1. Wladimir Klitschko

    Light heavy
    1. Tomaz Ademek
    2. Vassily Jirov
    3. Dwight Muhammad Qawi
    4. David Haye
    5. Michael Spinks

    Middleweight
    1. Nigel Benn
    2. Chris Eubank
    3. Arthur Abraham
    4. John Duddy

    Welterweight
    1. Andre Berto
    2. Aaron Pryor
    3. Henry Armstrong
    4. Kostya Tszyu

    Lightweight
    1. Alexis Arguello
