Thread: If you were a pro boxer would you trust Frank Warren to pay you?

Calzaghe sued Sports Network over unpaid money he claims he was owed for the Hopkins fight and won.

Then suddenly Sports Network goes into administration.

But old Frankie's still promoting as Frank Warren Limited.

Do you think this shows Frankie as someone who's going to treat his boxers fairly and pay them?

Or does it make him look like someone who can't be trusted and would cheat people he owes money to from paying them?.

Warren can't be trusted, everyone knows that. And he is an unreasonable promoter. He can't play it by the book and gets miffed when fighters want to be rid of him. He is good at conning the public with joke fighters like Amir Khan too. So in that sense he is quite good at what he does....I despise him though.

I hink Warren is a tool, but the Calzaghe incident is unfortunate, but Joe is a bit of a hypocrite, i remember when Hatton left Warren and Joe praising Frank to the high hills.

Then when Joe realises he can make more money without Frank hes the devils son? Frank is good British promoter if you are starting out in the game and want to make decent money and get your name recognised, if iw asa pro boxer strarting out id defintly want to go with Frank Warren.

Warren is a person never to be trusted.
