Default Petition Online for Manny Pacquiao to Defer His Political Plans For Greater Legacy

For The Greater Legacy of Boxing Champion Manny Pacquiao

Whether you are a Pinoy or a non-Pinoy boxing fan, if you believe that Manny Pacquiao should defer his political plans and focus on achieving greater legacy in boxing, please sign this petition. Pacquiao is a rara avis in boxing in our generation. He is in an enviable position to achieve more than what he has already achieved as a great fighter. Staying in boxing means fighting the best fighters in junior welterweight, welterweight or at a catchweight ---- Floyd, Shane, Miguel Cotto, Clottey, Marquez and a farewell match w/ an easy opponent, Valero. This petition seeks to petition Manny to go the jugular ---- fight the best and retire as a certified All Time Great.

I'm not so sure that we can demand a fighter to continue. I would like him to go on until about 32/33 but if he is on the way out then that is his choice really. No one wants their favourite fighter to retire. But better to try and bow out on top rather than going on too long and possibly tarnishing the legacy.

Manny and politics sounds like a bad combination. He should try something else.

I would actually like to see him retire soon. Most fighters who fight until they're way past it usually get beat up in the ring or suffer bad knockouts. I couldn't bear to watch Manny go through that. (Although due to some posters around here, more and more people would like to see it)

I'd like to see Manny retire on top and stay retired.

The petition does not actually demand. That's why it's a petition to just defer his plan. The decision is still his, anyway.

My hunch is he won't retire. But the problem is how he juggle his activities as a boxer and a politician. There will be too much distraction.
