Default Who Has Seen Kevin Kelley vs Troy Dorsey ?

I can't find this fight anywhere i heard the fight had over 2000+ punches thrown, and its one of the best fights of all time. Can anyone who has seen the fight tell me how good of a fight it was ? it really is a shame there isn't more Kevin Kelley fights about, i heard his fight with Alejandro Gonzalez was a war aswell but again can't find it anywhere.

Well this fight took place in 1992 , but nah im just looking for all the closet classic fights i can find. I've been looking for this fight for over a year but still no luck, infact i can't find any of Kevin Kelley's most exciting fights with Alejandro Gonzalez, Derrick Gainer, ETC.

You sure you have not seen this Ice ??Saw you put it up in the past on your best viewed threads.Ohh who knows, too many to keep track of at times

I could bore you with a rbr, best I can manage.I knew I kept these crusty notebooks for some reason lol. This was an epic battle that deserves mention standing alongside ANY past fight in terms of greatness. It was missing a few key elements though that keeps it somewhat under the radar....the 'Name' factor at the time and they were in a lower weightclass,at a time when the Heavyweight division had huge teeth and some major leauge talent and in the same year as Holyfield vs. Bowe 1.Frankly.....in terms of sheer constant excitment and none stop shifts in momentum....I think it was a better action fight than that heavyweight battle .

Kelly was coming up fast out of New York and getting some needed national wide exposure on a major network,USA Tuesday night fights,Dorsey had been is some nice highly disputed fights all over the networks with Jorge Paez but was considered to be a bit passed it just lossing Title to Manuel Medina.Really a contrast in styles...Dorsey was very one deminsional, could not break an egg but was one of the toughest brawlers with a mullet that Texas had ever produced.Kelly was very sharp, fast talking, combination puncher & quick fisted star in the making. These fellows produced a sensational classic battle.

You the man thanks VD you don't know the struggle i've had, trying to find these fights. I know your fan of Kevin Kelley aswell, i also heard you liked his commentating ? i see him commentate on Winky Wright vs Bronco McKart 2, and he was awesome as a commentator. Its a shame he never got a job on one of the big networks.

Score it when you get it Ice.Little closer than I remember, frigging Kelly doing the Winky thing and dropping his hands in the 4th.Getting belted around bad to the ropes.Dorsey needs a chin strap for his huge head of hair .We need to get this one on the file board.unbelievable pace!

Just watched the full fight on youtube it was just uploaded yesterday, unbelievable fight my mouth was wide open i don't think i've ever seen a pace like that. Troy Dorsey was a machine and Kevin Kelley looked like a spent force after the 11th round, i don't know where he got that 2nd wind from to win that 12th round.

Amazing fight this is for certain in my top 10 list for one of the best fights i've ever seen. And when VD upload's this fight along with the others theres no way i will ever get rid of this fight. I will watch it 100's more times, and Spicoli i know you said for me to score it. But i was just in awe of the action and enjoying it too much too score it.

I was actually at that fight, best i've ever been to.Fight was at theater at madison square garden. I was friends with Kevin and was at most of his early fights thru him winning title. Kevin and Troy stood in the middle of the ring and just swung for the whole fight. Kevin won a close decision but honestly could have gone either way. Kevin won the title soon after but was never the same or as good as he was that night. Kevin would rather put on a show and swing it out, then use his poor boxing skills, took many years from his prime. I would love to see more top ranked fighters in the ring, almost never happens anymore.
