Was Cotto impressive enough to replace Mosley's spot at #4, or B-hops' spot at #3? Will he remain at #5? Or did he hurt his p4p ranking? Please discuss.

No, Although he beat a guy bigger than him in the ring, he micro-inched a win so his movement is nowhere.
Stays the same... Not an impressive performance from Cotto tho he officially won this very close fight...
.
I think Cotto just cements the current number he's already in.
It was a close fight. Clottey was highly rated in his weightclass, but not in the P4P lists. Cotto also just edged the fight. It wasn't a wide decision win. I think Cotto did enough to not let anyone pass him P4P.
for me he either moves up one or stays the same. Cotto has beaten shane, clottey, quintana, judah, a lost to margarito (which now has a cloud over it) hes pretty much fought the best welters out there except for Berto which is more than i can say for floyd who i am a bigger fan of.
I think he should be the same. Cotto would've had a better outing if not for the bad cut he had to deal with for 9 rounds. But the p4p rankings are mythical and hard to make great sense out of. Cotto has done more at welterweight than Mosley but that one win for Mosley got him past Cotto. Even though Margarito was plaster-less in the Mosley fight.
I haven't seen his match with Joshua but it seems to be as much as a controversy as with Sugar Shane so I say: put him in a rematch with Clottey, once more with Moseley and with the results, I'll tell you where I do think he stands in the p4p list.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
Some people talk about performance , why we can give credit to a boxer that came with strategy and when was cut by a unintentional headbut , had to change to another plan and give everything to the fan in where demostrated that could win with one eye and battled until end with courage ..............![]()
That sounds like a little bit of sore grapes from you, because he beat the guy you predicted would win. I mean what do you expect ? i think we all knew Miguel Cotto wasn't going to be in for an easy ride.
He won a very close decision as most people expected it would be close. I mean Shane Mosley's victory over the cheater Antonio Margarito, isn't that special now we know what Antonio Margarito is.
And Miguel Cotto has a victory over Shane Mosley, aswell as a better resume than Shane Mosley in the last few years. So he does deserve to replace Shane Mosley.
Miguel Cotto had a cut eye very earlier on and he could of took advantage of that, by quitting the fight and going to the scorecards. Which he would of won.
But instead he fought on with a very bad cut and gutted out a win, over a very tough opponent i'd say that is an impressive victory.
He goes up slightly on mine, because he's erased some of the doubts I had post-Margarito, but it was not convincing enough to push him into the Top 10 for me. I felt Clottey won, but Cotto showed tremendous resilience in there.
I am kind of dissapointed with his performance, I think that cut definitely played a factor, but I really thought he would do a better job against CLottey.
Who does Cotto have on his resume thats better than Mosley has ICB?
Mosley had Vargas, Mayorga, Collazo, Margarito, Cotto.
Cotto had Urkal, Quintana, Judah, Mosley, Margarito, Clottey ... it really isn't that much more impressive.

He might move up a spot on my edited P4P rankings.
