    Default Pascal beats Diaconu

    Pascal wins unanimous decision

I must admit, I am surprised. Diaconu's not exactly Roy Jones, but I thought he'd be too big for what I've always thought of as a fairly limited fighter in Pascal. I was wrong though, Pascal seems to be improving every outing and he now holds a belt at 175.

I thought he looked great against Froch so I knew he had class.

At least we now have a legit opponent for Chad Dawson, and maybe afterwards the winner can have Froch.

Imo Froch (who should be p4p number 7 in place of Donaire) now is unbeatable from 160 to 175.

I'm hoping he gets to retire Hopkins later in the year but failing that finishing what Andrade started against Bute would be a nice way to round out the year.

LOL Froch P4P? Seriously ? This is the guy that was being schooled until the 12th round against Taylor. Sure he won, but hes no way near the top 20 even. Hopkins schools him if they would fight this year

No you are misunderstood, Carl 'the Cobra' Froch is the truth, he's unbeatable from 160 to 175 lbs.

Only Anthony 'The Man' Mundine gives him any trouble.

    He would destroy Popkins.

Hope that clears it up for you.

Hopefully Pascal can establish himself as a top 175 so Dawson can have a natural rival. Anway its good to have a young champ in that divison.

I'm not sold on Froch, but no way was he 'Schooled' infact he would've atleast been worth a draw with a 10-7 last round (which is what he would have got had Taylor survived

IMO losing 8 rounds straight, and yes Froch lost 8 rnds straight, plus an extra point for the knockdown by Taylor in the 3rd, and there is no way possible Froch would have won or even gotten a draw, IMO he was getting a boxing lesson until Taylor tired, and was able to capatalize on it, and i applaud him for it, but he's hardly unbeatable from 168 on up

    Bernard Hopkins
    Chad Dawson
    Glen Johnson
    Roy Jones Jr
    Clinton Woods
    Antonio Tarver
    Zsolt Erdei
    Hugo Hernan Garay
    Jean Pascal
    Juergen Braehmer

Pascal isn't that good. On boxrec (who's rankings are never wrong) he is number 9.

I'd have him about 4 or 5. Why is boxrec so shit at rankings?

I included links incase you need to fing out who soame of the people are.

If you think Taylor one all of the 1st 8 rounds you have lost any credibility in how to score a fight

Alot of people were saying Chad Dawson was avoiding Adrian Diaconu. I think this proves Chad Dawson would of beat Adrian Diaconu without much trouble. Chad Dawson vs Glen Johnson 2 is a must first, then fight Jean Pascal.

Pascal should be a poker player, even in a fight his expression never changes at all.

And he looked good in the process. Pascal has the goods.

Pascal's body punching was a thing of beauty. He has gotten better overall IMO

6 Months ago if you asked me, i would have said froch and Pascal were over-rated tools. 6 months later I will say both are entertaining as hell and very decent fighters with tons of heart.

Yeah, he actually slowed down the already much slower boxer! At first I just wanted Diaconu to knock Pascal's ass out so bad, but I gained a lot more respect for Pascal as the fight wore on. It was a little irritating when he held every time on the inside, but he can't really be blamed when Diaconu let him, and the ref never warned him.

I think the fight was winnable for Diaconu, though. However, he and his corner seemed unable to adjust their fight plan. Seemed like Diaconu was so intent on knocking Pascal's head off that he missed the boat. After seeing the advantages in speed and movement Pascal had in the first round, it should have been Diaconu with the all out body attack. If he had done that, Diaconu would have had a much greater chance of catching him.

I think that the few times he shook Pascal up a litte actually hurt him, because it gave him more false hope that he could just catch him with one good head shot and end it.

I like a the thought of Pascal/Dawson, if Dawson gets past Johnson; which I have the feeling he will, but I'm definitely looking forward to a rematch with Diaconu too!
