    Default My Top 30 p4p

well someone asked me for my top 30 p4p and well so far i have up to #17, i know that not everyone will agree but hell barely anyone ever agrees fully with anyone's p4p list, i'll put the fighter's name and why he should have the position

#1 Manny Pacquiao - He's been on a roll as of late, with wins over Morales (twice by TKO), Barrera (twice, TKO and UD), two close fights with Marquez, TKO wins over DLH (even though he was weight drained) and a solid Ricky Hatton, all these fights are ranging from 126 to 147

#2 Juan Manuel Marquez - The current Lineal Lightweight champion, he had two close fights against Pacquiao (draw and a SD loss) which many believe he won, plus back to back KO wins over Casamayor and Juan Diaz, in his only two fights at 135

#3 Bernard Hopkins - A long-time Undisputed Middleweight champion, with wins over John David Jackson, Glen Johnson, Simon Brown, Robert Allen (twice, and one NC), Antwun Echols (twice), Felix Trinidad, William Joppy, Oscar De La Hoya, and Howard Eastman, with two controversial losses to Jermaine Taylor, he moved up to Light Heavyweight, and earned back to back wins against Tarver and Wright, throw in a close loss against Calzaghe (many believe B-Hop won), topped by a dominate upset win against the then undefeated Kelly Pavlik

#4 Shane Mosley - Dominated and crushed the then labeled "Man" at 147 in Margarito to win the WBC Welterweight title, and did so against high odds, had a very lackluster showing in the fight before against Mayorga, he did all of this at the age of 37

#5 Miguel Cotto - A former Jr. Welterweight champion, a 2 time Welterweight champion, with back to back wins over Malignaggi, Urkal, Judah, and Mosley. Most recently he beat the very dangerous and highly avoided Clottey by SD, add in that his only loss is now a controversial one, and it shows that he's one of the top fighters in the world today

#6 Paul Williams - He is currently campaigning in 3 weight classes at the same time (Welterweight, Jr. Middleweight, and Middleweight), has won titles in 2 of the 3, and has wins over Margarito, Phillips, and Wright. Also a win over the only man who beat him (Quintana), and he did it by a brutal 1st round KO.

#7 Ivan Calderon - Despite a bad showing (the Mayol fight), he dominated the Minimumweight division for 4 years, with 11 title defenses, then moved up to Light Flyweight and beat the lineal champion (Cazares) by SD in his first fight at that weight, he went on to beat Cazares again in a rematch, and has wins against Alex "El Nene" Sanchez, Nelson Dieppa, and now a draw with Mayol. He's done all of this with very little punching power.

#8 Chad Dawson - He is an undefeated two time Lightheavyweight Champion (IBF & WBC), has wins over Harding, Adamek (the current Ring Cruiserweight Champion), Johnson, and Tarver (twice), all at only the age of 26

#9 Vic Darchinyan - A former Flyweight champion, bounced back from his only loss (N. Donaire) to become the Undisputed Super Flyweight champion with wins over Kirillov and Mijares, both by KO, then followed that up with a beating on Arce

#10 Wladimir Klitschko - A two time Heavyweight champion, and the current Unified Heavyweight champion (IBF,IBO,WBO), has back to back wins over Peter, Byrd, Brock, Austin, Brewster, Ibragimov, Thompson, and Rahman, still faces the best around when he was originally scheduled to face Haye, but Haye pulled out, so now he's taking on Chagaev

#11 Kelly Pavlik - He is still the Lineal Middleweight champion, and has wins over Zertuche, Miranda, and Taylor (twice, and when he was undefeated), and Rubio, and has knocked them all out. His only loss came against B-Hop when he jumped up to 170

#12 Israel Vazquez - Hasn't fought in over a year to stay in the top 10, but well no real explination needed here

#13 Rafael Marquez - Same as Vazquez, even though he did fight last month, but it was against weak opposition

#14 Arthur Abraham - Long time reigning IBF Middleweight champ, has wins over Eastman, Ikeke, and two over Miranda, a UD while he had a broken jaw, and then a brutal 4th round KO, and a win against a still game, but not really a threat in Raul Marquez

#15 Vitali Klitschko - Was the man at Heavyweight before retirement, with wins over Johnson, Sanders and Williams, all by KO. Then he beat Peter in dominant fashion to win the WBC Heavyweight title in his first fight back after a four year layoff, he would go on defend his title against J.C. Gomez, both also by KO

#16 Nate Campbell - A former Unified Lightweight champion (IBF,WBO,WBA), who never lost his title in a fight. He has wins over Quiles, the then undefeated Juan Diaz, and the large Funeka, and now will challenge Unified Jr. Welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, all at the age of 37

#17 Fernando Montiel - A former two time WBO Flyweight champion, former WBO Super Flyweight champion, and now will be facing Morel for the WBO Bantamweight title, has wins over Gorres, M. Castillo, and Maldonado

    still working on 18-30

Interesting list but Id have Nonito Donaire one spot in from of Vic and definately in the top 17. Kesser , JMM, Caballero should be higher also. For the rest Hasegawa, Glen Johnson, Haye, Clottey, Bradley ,Valero, Juan Diaz , Adamek, Edgar Sosa

don't have Donaire, cause apart from beating Darchinyan he hasn't done shit really, on the other hand Darchinyan moved up and weight and owned it, and i have JMM in the #2 spot, still working out #18-30

donaire should be there too higher than darch. the reason for this was the recent beating agbeko gave to darch and nonito winning his second title, the wba 115 title, by coming up one division and outboxing a balooned, hard opponent in rafael concepcion.

Concepcion was a good win but, and it was his best opponent since Darchinyan, but Darchinyan is STILL the Undisputed Super Flyweight champion, Donaire has won another one of WBA's paper titles, they have like 4 in each division for gods sake, Darchinyan since losing to Donaire, went up in weight won 3 titles at Super Flyweight and beat Mijares and Arce both by TKO, yea he lost badly to Agbeko, but that was when he attempted to move up to yet another division, sorry Donaire is still one pace behind

I would have Donaire in there instead of Vic, but besides that and maybe having Berto in there instead of Arthur Abraham or Nate Campbell I think its a great list.

Darchinyan may have the better resume, but Donaire still outclass him in every department. Skill, power, speed, stamina, chin, and above all Donaire is way smarter than Darchinyan. P4p doesn't only measured by resume. Basic common sense is also involved. And I'm sure the Ring sees it that way too. DONAIRE IS SIMPLY THE BETTER FIGHTER. Nuff said.

IMO a rematch would not bare the same result to be honest, not saying that Donaire wouldn't win, but Darchinyan's not the same fighter he was 2 years ago, Manny Pacquiao isn't the only fighter that can fix the probs in his style and improve on them, and Gorres, Hasegawa, and Montiel all beat Donaire, IMO Montiel stops him cold
