Thread: Threads with the prefix "Moderated"

ie: Moderated: Manny Pacquiao discovers secret to perpetual motion.

The first time I noticed this was when a poster was spamming one of the boards trying to sell some shit. Since then, I've seen it a couple more times, there's a thread on the main board that has this prefix right now.

What does it mean?

It's to prevent spammers. If somebody with less than 3 posts, posts a link then the Thread goes into 'moderated' status and only Saddo and Mods can see it. We can then assess if it's Spam. If it is somebosy just randomly spamming then just use the "One Touch Band and Clean" and get rid

Does the person who started the thread know it's in moderated status?

It makes sense though because every time I've seen it, bar today, it's been spam.

yeah it was to stop all the porn links we where getting a few months back...

there is a log that i check everyday to approve of ban delete etc

this place os full of filters... its linked to a spam database to check emails on signups to block if they have been reported by other forums in the spam reports club.

then if they register in under 5 seconds it can only mean its a bot so the reg get rejected.

then this 3rd stage is the url post needs approved if it has a link in it... only till they pass 3 posts.

but usually 9 times out of 10 if someone comes here and their first post is a link then its spam.

and the 3 day before editing your profiles has cut out on the profile spam.
