I saw today that the first celebrity pioneer to use Twitter, Stephen Fry has said he is tempted to leave the site because he no longer likes the arguments on there.

Apparently somebody told him they found him boring and he got a bit upset, blocked the person and announced he was leaving.

As I've had the same feelings several times on here in the past year or so it was encouraging to read that even the greatest and most famous are subject to the same weaknesses and frailties as us common folk.

Cheered me up a bit

I like Steven Fry. He would be one of a few famous people I'd have the time to sit down and chat with.

Obviously he got a severe beating when he was young when you look at his nose and how off centre it is. He suffers major depression but comes out of it with his humor in tact.

After getting beaten up at school for being a homosexual youth ,the next time it happened it said out loud to the guy putting a beating on him, ont beat me too hard I'll only give me an erection.

Apparently his intellectual genius and wit worked a treat and he got left alone after that.

I like Stephen Fry too. A very funny and intelligent chap.

I still have no idea what twitter is though. I need to get down and funky and get with the times.

It's the other most popular social networking site now after Facebook.

Basically it's just status updates that people post throughtout the day, and others can follow you, which means they subscribe to your status updates.

There are a ton of celebs on there now, along with fake celeb ones too although the genuine ones are well known.

I don't use it myself but I have a mate who follows several people on there.

I think it's popular with the iphone crowd and mobile internet uses who enjoy getting the status updateds, not sure how many people access the site from their laptops and desktops.
