    Default transfer of weight

When i box i always try to maintain good balance by having my weigh distributed evenly between both feet and try to never favour one leg over the other. However people say that for proper punching power it is the transfer of weight from one leg to the other.I think this is ok if you are just winding up with one punch to throw as hard as you can but i find it much better for combination punching especialy to always maintain an equilibrium between both legs.Does this mean i am sacraficing power to maintain good balance or can i generate more power by maintaining balance.
