I've been looking over the schedule for British boxing for the early part of the year, and there are some really interesting fights coming up over the next 6-8 weeks.
The Norton/Dolan rematch should be good to watch, a few more knockdowns, and the Renda/Samuels rematch on the undercard makes a decent opening to the year.
Napa v McDonnell doesn't have "thriller" written all over it, but Olubamiwo/Belshaw on the undercard should be an interesting but brief event, with a big KO finish.
Kell Brook will be making the step up against Krzysztof Bienias on the Sexton/Williams undercard, and although Bienias has lost both of his big fights against Junior Witter and Oktay Urkal, should be a good yardstick for Brook.
On the same card we've also got Chisora against Skelton, which will be an equally good yardstick for Chisora, who should win if he's got ambitions beyond his next bite to eat.
Macklin v Pirog rounding off February should also be decent, as Pirog has been matched fairly toughly for a 14-0 fighter.
