Thread: ESPN picks up Cunningham vs. Godfrey for FNF

The IBF Cruiserweight championship was moved from March 19th (where it would have been untelevised) to March 26th where it will be aired on ESPN2 FNF.

I have to give it to the ESPN crew this year, with the lack of fights on HBO, they've really picked up the slack and had some great cards this season.

On the subject of FNF, I'm kinda not very excited for this weeks event Shawn "I was used as a punching bag for Pacquiao" Porter is going in against a total tomato can. Porter is clearly being groomed for big things because his competition so far has been abysmal. I'm not saying the guy doesn't have talent, because he does, I just think he's gonna get rusty with his handlers feeding him this garbage.

Totally agree. And this is a great cruiserweight match-up. In my opinion, it is a bigger fight for Cunningham than it is for Godfrey. Another loss against top competition wouldn't be good for Cunningham's career trajectory.

ESPN is really stepping it up, way to go!!

This should be a great fight...Don't expect a KO but expect a great boxing match...FNF is on track to becoming what ABC WWOS was to boxing in the 70-80's....HW title fights CW title fights great top contender fights etc......
