Thread: Squatting/boxing shadow boxing.

At the gym I have joined recently our trainer has us shadow box whilst performing deep squats. So we get into our stance and squat deep with hands up in position and as we raise up quickly we perform a boxing combo. Usual footwork and focus on defence and imaginary opponent applies. Finish the combo and repeat for a round. Makes you concentrate on the power from your legs and hips and also movement. Some use small hand weights. Is this others have experience of? Is it a valueable drill?

Reminds me of some training stuff I've seen of Tyson.
