Well that sounds like a reasonable number, but it's still coming from Arum, so............................and even he's saying "it's not official, but I believe"
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

We have to consider that more than half a million household in the American northeast did not have electricity at the time of the fight. That is an area with a large population of Filipinos.

6 dead, thousands without electricity in Northeast storm - latimes.com

I have to travel several miles to a home with electricity in order to watch the fight.

Still, not sure if this would be an excuse for poor sales if that was the case. People still pay for the event days, weeks, or months in advance so it wouldn't make that big of a difference for the sales.

And now we know the answer to the question how many PPV's would Manny sell completely and totally by himself.

    *Assuming its true obviously.

700k is a good number if it's true considering the level of promotion of this fight wasn't like Pac's other fights. You would have thought HBO would have done a 24/7 to help increase the sales.

I wouldn't call 700k a poor number, considering there was only 1 good name on the main event.

Even if they have requested for it in advance, they would have already asked for a refund and that would show in the sales.

As you can see in my earlier post, I just stated the fact about the lack of electricity in more than half a million households. I did not even speculate as to how much that would affect the PPV numbers but one thing is for sure, Manny lost some PPV numbers because of that.

Considering that the amount of people in the USA to who bought the PPV is about 2.5% to who has a tv, I don't think the 500,000 households would of had much bearing, on average every 500,000 households in the USA who would of bought the fight is around about 12500 or there about's if the fight did 700,000 buys, so in reality there wasn't much difference if they had electricity or not.
