Thread: Calzaghe making a possible comeback Reid possible opponent haha

Calzaghe is a great fighter but his career was over shadowed by his crappy resume, but I don't no if this is true but over on the Scene it says he could be making a comeback and the possible opponent is no other than the three year retired Robin Reid who he should of fought in a rematch over ten years ago if this is true it is unbelievable.

Calzaghe has gone from unknown fighter in his prime to being more in the spotlight at the end of his career to then retiring, it seems to be he craves the celebrity recognition/spotlight from what I have seen of him since his retirement, if he comes back which I thought there was always a good chance If it is Robin Reid haha I will piss myself, that fight should be for some sort of charity gig for tv like Comic Relief.

I'd love to see him back, still a legend in my eyes, the coke addiction has just made him a whole lot more real and likeable.

No im against people who abuse drink, because i've had family members. End up in the gutter because of drink, and at the moment yes i am against drink. There's too many young teenagers getting pissed, and people being stabbed.

But there's nothing you can do about it, but explain one thing to me. Since when is someone being a drug user, make them more likable ? can you explain that one to me ? because really im lost for words.

I had a feeling that as soon as the connects stopped fronting Cokezaghe his comeback wouldn't be to far behind

No your not. I wasnt a big fan of him to start off with and now with the cocaine thing definitely not a fan. Doing drugs doesnt make you part of the people it just makes you a drug user. And for anyone to say it makes more people relate to him coz he seems more real now then I guess we are saying the majority of people do drugs? And dont give me that shit "just a recreational user", its like people who only smoke when they are drinking and claim not to be smokers...if you put a smoke in your mouth,light it and smoke it your a smoker and alcohol doesnt effect that.

To answer your first point, the majority of people do do drugs in some form, be they legal or illegal, but that's not what I was saying. For a lot of people its easier to like a person who appears flawed, just like yourself. It makes it easier to related to them in that way instead of as some untouchable super human.

And you may be a smoker if you smoke once in a while, according to some people, but that does not mean you're addicted to smoking.

It's lowered his inhabtitions, but that just means instead of merely thinking stupid shit, he actually comes out and says it now.
