....when floyd comes out and says he's not better than somebody then i'd be surprised. There are amatures out there that belive they are better than ali, so what. Froch just got beat and still thinks he's better than kessler. Where's the thread for that foolishness ? Not like floyd just became a prick yesterday.

Yes but Floyd has been around the game long enough to know that he really is nowhere near the level of Robinson.

If Tommy Hearns was in his prime right now he'd destroy EVERYONE at 147 WITH EASE....Pac couldn't handle him, Shane couldn't handle him, and Floyd sure as hell couldn't handle him.

Let's put Floyd in perspective his biggest wins were Diego Corrales, Gennaro Hernandez, and Jose Luis Castillo....Floyd just recently got a MAJORITY decision vs a washed up De la Hoya.....if Floyd had trouble with OLD Oscar then you know damn well his ass would get destroyed by a PRIME Oscar!!!

I know Floyd is great and all but this type of bull shit make me happy that I will see Shane Mosley whip his ass on Saturday.

Robinson fought more times a month than Mayweather did a year... you really think he would keep his 0 if he fought almost 200 times?

Not forgetting he only ever fought for real world championships... not the alphabetty spaghetti we have nowadays.

Ali faced more adversity in a matter of years than Mayweather ever has or probably ever will in his whole entire career. fact.

Blame the times for that. Not Mayweather. Robinson had to fight a lot cuz he spend more money than he made. Plus the money was different back than. You add up all the fights Robinson had in let say 5 years and he still don't come close to making what Mayweather made in the Hatton or De la Hoya fight alone. I have no doubt if Robinson made 20 million a fight there is no way in hell he fights as much as he did.

Look at everyone getting so annoyed they're going to pay the $49.99 to see him get his arse kicked.

My broadband connection doesn't even cost that much for a month.... I'm not going to bother working out how much an hour of broadbandto watch the fight will cost me - needless to say none of it will be going into money mayweather's broke pocket

Although I hate to disagree with you Lyle, I think Floyd would take a prime Tommy Hearns. But one thing I will say is Tommy would bring out the best in Floyd for sure. I also think the Oscar result would have been the same a few years earlier. Oscar always slowed down on the final stretch and thats what cost him vs Mayweather. It wasn't like Floyd was fighting the version of Oscar that Pac was and don't forget it was at 154lbs which is not Floyds weight at all.

he already said this on the 24/7 show he said he gets to a point of confidence every fighter has to have to where if you ask him is he better then Ali he'll say yes he's better then Ali, if you ask is he better then sugar ray robinson he'll say yes he's better then sugar ray robinson. Every fighter has a confidence in themself and if he can draw into it while making people hate him at the same time and get more buyers to the PPV more power to him. His haters make more threads about him then his fans so and always about the same stuff or comment he makes, give it a rest, Mayweather's done this for the last 7 years its not new news.

Nah, let them do it - I'm sure Floyd loves it, uses it as even more fuel to psyche himself up. When he wins and makes more money from them, he's laughing all the way to the bank.

Then he lines up the next guy and does it all over again. Floyd has never got the credit he deserves and probably never will from some people because they have this love affair with the golden oldies.

It's called evolution folks...a prime Floyd would do just fine against the old guys apart from possibly Hearns because of his long arms and frequent use of the jab. Maybe not win against them all but would not guaranteed for them either.

Can I get a so what? Floyd has one opinion, everyone else has another. Fact is, you should appreciate he believes it. If he went around proclaiming other fighters as being better than him then that shows he feels he has limits. I appreciate the guy has that much confidence in himself. In 20 years someone is going to say he's better than Mayweather. And people will get all outraged over that too. Just appreciate the guy has belief in himself.

And don't you all realize Floyd says these things aloud because he knows it gets a reaction which equates into more $$$?
