    Default Inspired by Scrap (videos)

I was inpired by the teachings of Scrap to make this thread. None of it is my own stuff, just some stuff I came across that reminded me of some of the ideas and theories explained by him.

Basically I found a youtube channel filled with videos of a Japanese Martial Arts Training/ fighter rehab center. As I watched some of these videos I immediately thought of Scraps theories and ideas. Some of them, I know for a fact he has taught/suggested in one form or another, others just seem like they might be inline with some of his techniques and methods.

A lot of this stuff may be for martial artists but I think some of em can be really useful for Boxers as well. But I'll let you be the judge of that, either ways, there's some interesting stuff. Let me know what you think...

I'm assuming this works balance and posture

    similar to the one above

I know you wouldnt want to be standing with such a narrow stance, nor would we be interested in kicking, but interesting drill nevertheless

this ones a given... as the title states... power and balance

    power and speed i guess

conditioning (the type you would have loved if you were a child)

stretch (she sounds like she's enjoying that a bit too much)

Strengthening those hips and those legs maybe?

Similar to one of the vids Scrap had posted, Scraps version seems alot better its called "one" on his youtube page

again this is similar to a drill I learnt from scrap, but his is again different

this may be either really bad or really good for a boxer

heres another balance one that looks like some fun

he see's the target, closes his eyes, then throws a shot.. I've done a drill which is basically opposite.. keep ur eyes closed, the person holding pads says "now" and you must open your eyes find the target and throw the shot as quick as possible.

    possibly covering the dominant eye?

    proprioceptive training i suppose

eyes closed, using sound as a stimulus to train for reaction and speed

not sure exactly what that would do, but looks interesting..

thats all for now.. hope some of you guys will find a few of those interesting. I'm interested on peoples thoughts on some of these. There's tons more, I didnt go through all of em, but if anyones interested the users name is "sunliveorio" on youtube. People that are into martial arts will most definitely enjoy some of the vids there.

Oh annnd here's a recent video of Bernard Hopkins training.. @ 1:10 he starts doing something I could see Scrap suggesting.
