Thread: IBF Middleweight Tournament: Karmazin comes outta retirement

Four middleweight contenders will face off in a two-match elimination tournament to determine the mandatory challenger for reigning IBF champion Daniel Geale. Sebastian Sylvester, Sam Soliman, Roman Karmazin and Osumanu Adama are expected to participate with Sylvester facing Soliman and Karmazin taking on Adama in the first round. “This is great news,” says former IBF champ Sebastian Sylvester, who is now ranked third. “In three fights I can be world champion and I have this goal clearly in sight. I’m incredibly motivated to get win it again.” The first round is expected to take place in the fall.

That's good to hear. Ive been a fan of Karmazin since he upset Ouma years back..

BUt these guys have to fight their asses off in a tournament just to fight Geale?? I thought the prize should have been much bigger. Daniel Geale........

Not exactly the big money fight that's going to pay for a comfortable retirement....if they want any big money from a fight with Daniel Geale they're going to have to bring plenty of their own fans!
