Thread: Haye v Wlad poll

I have been thinking long and hard about the various outcomes of this fight, and I do think it will be a short fight, I also think both guys have a chance of the KO win.
However i have to base my pick, on the fact that Haye hasnt fought any HW punchers , and as i said i think he has a chance early , but I am going with my head and picking Wlad.

I dont think it will be a classic fight but its got me feeling the buzz of excitment that few fights do.

Haye has ran from Valuev to avoid getting hit , he didnt have anything to beat in Harrison and took 3 rounds to win.
I just think if he stays at distance he will get impaled on the end of Wlad's jab and KOED.
For me Haye has to use head movement and get inside with his big shots. He may prove me wrong and win , but i just havent seen any evidence that he will win.

Absolutely, Haye has all the problems here. Wlad will control the distance and once that ramrod jab begins to find a home, Haye is going to be on the retreat. I think it will take a few rounds for Wlad to get going, but once he does Haye is for it.

Much like Al I got to go with head over heart, not that I love Haye however I do find hiim more interesting. Head does say though that Wlad is just to big and knows his own limitations, he's not going to want to expend to much energy early on so he can take it later on in the fight.

Haye could not KO Valuev, took 9 rounds to KO Ruiz and 5 rounds to KO Barrett and Monte even managed to knock Haye on his ass for an unofficial KD. I'm not a huge of Wlad or Haye TBH, HW is not my thing, but I actually think Haye is going to KO Wlad, so I've voted for Haye KO. The speed and movement will be the difference, and there will be a definite difference in speed IMO, and this will affect Wlads confidence in opening up. I've watched alot of Hayes fights and i think he can be a different beast altogether at HW, carrying the most important tool with him from Cruiser, his speed. I also think has has gained power moving to HW. If i'm wrong, shit, won't be the first time, just my two pence worth in there. All I really wanna see is an exciting heavyweight fight, as it'll probably be the first one since I've been interested in boxing in the last 8 years or so.

There's a little reason inside me why I would love Haye to win, and thats to see what Lyle's first post reads after the fight. Ha.....

I'm sure plenty of posters are waiting for me to be humbled again. I'm not worried yet, I'm sure I'll get anxious once the fight starts.

Then glorified Fitness First coach gives Haye the go command and throws some big rights that just catch Wlad flush and then its timberrrr! Wlad might beat the count first time, but another 30 seconds, he goes down again, and no getting up this time.

Vitali jumps in the ring, and has to be restrained. Build up for Haye v Vitali begins, and the trash talk steps up another gear.

That scenario sounds to me more like a fantasy and wishful thinking rather then reality.
