Anyone that saw Wolak vs Rodriquez, or has seen the multitude of prospects getting picked off by veterans and even the reemergence of guys like Kendall Holt and Edison Miranda this year on FNF knows that the pay per view model is in trouble. I believe fight fans want to see great fights more than they want to see showcases for the supposed great fighters. I am no longer paying 50 bucks for Pacquiao vs Mosley. I don't think Khan, with his style, is worth the risk. The heavyweights certainly aren't worth the investment. Would I pay for Hopkins/Dawson or Pascall? (no). Would I pay for Martinez? (no) Mayweather vs Ortiz has some potential but Mayweather probably won't engage enough to make it interesting and I am not sure Ortiz has the skill set to find him. I am sick of the game of waiting for a guy to fade, looking for the best match up, showcases for marquee guys.

Plus we don't get Teddy Atlas's fight breakdown "bang, bang, bang" on PPV.
