Thread: Who won the Khan vs. Peterson fight ?

Khan was dirty no doubt, but I don't know about TWO point deductions. Either way, you gotta factor them into your scorecard.

I had Peterson losing the last round, making it 9-9, so I had it a draw. Can't really see Peterson winning, MAYBE by a point. Honestly think a draw was the right call, and I was rooting for Peterson.

Anyone outraged at this decision ?

It was a close fight. I don't think even Khan had a problem with the cards, given the point deductions. The problem was the point deductions. Without those, Khan won.

(I like Peterson and don't particularly like Khan (though I don't dislike him either) and I grew up in DC, so I'm definitely not coming at this with a pro-Khan bias.)

It was a really good fight though. It's a shame about the ref. But I'd happily watch the rematch.

Point deductions were definitely warranted and right man got the decision.
And to think that bradley dominated peterson ...

With the point deductions I still had it a draw. No complains on the cards as there shouldn't be in such a close fight.

Ref could have made it look a little less like he had an agenda but favouratism can happen anywhere! A rematch somewhere neutral would be good to see how they both adapt and improve to face each other again- neither were perfect but both entertained.

That's true Khan is overrated, this fight must be a wake up call and he thought he could beat Mayweather. If that was someone quicker in the ring with him last night they would have had him out of there. I don't dislike khan but he is a little delusional thinking he can fight and beat guys like Mayweather, pac and cotto at 147.

Peterson, did fight out of his skin and he deserve'd the decision.

Right decision.close fight but khan defo warranted the points deductions.couldn't help being delighted hearing the result after seeing khan being so smug when they wer waiting for the score card. Brilliant effort by peterson nobody gave him a chance me included wot a warrior.

Freddie Roach was being interviewed after the fight and he claims they were advised they had been given the fight on the cards, but then when the results were read out they found out they didnt get the decision. Guess that explains the smugness

Very good and a very close fight, could have gone either way, i think the points deductions were right Khan was pushing and using his elbows a lot , delighted for Peterson,he put up a tremendous performance and deserves some big paydays,good luck to him

I thought both knockdowns (the first one was ruled a slip) were flaky and dubious. Then again, I thought the point deductions were harsh and not preceded by proper warnings. With those cancelling each other out, I thought the fight was close enough that a draw wouldn't have been out of the question. Great effort by both.

I've just watched the fight again this morning, those pushes were self defence! Peterson was bulldozing Khan all night, with no warning. When Khan pushed him back he got told off.

The points were very harsh, peterson was leading with his head constantly


What else was khan suppose to do?
