When in London in the seventies and early eighties I really regret not hunting down these guys.. The best three piece ever in my view.

Real pub style hard rock n roll.

Micks guitar riffs were legendary amongst others of the era most point at him when asked about natural inspiration.

Skynyrd and Doobie bros! so cool .

Bet you were gutted when their plane went down .

I forget who it was flying between concerts but someone (a famous lead guitarist) gave up their seat on that plane, Clapton maybe or was that with Stevie Ray Vaughn

    Anyway fuck little planes .

I was not born yet when that plane went down, this was the re-tooled line-up, but yeah their influence in rock'n'roll never reached what it could have, same with Ritchie Valens & Buddy Holly (let's be real, the Big Bopper was just a "fun act").

I always wanted to see Rainbow and Deep Purple but never did. One of the stupidest things I've ever done was in 2008, I think it was. The Sweet was playing this 3 day outdoors show up here, and I have loved that band since the early 70s. The first thing I ever bought for myself was probably the 45 (a little record for you youngsters) with Little Wille and Man From Mecca and I think I was in 3rd or 4th grade at the time.
Anyway, they were playing 40 miles from here and I didn't go and see them. Stupid, just stupid.
