Let me guess..it usually goes something like this. "Wellll..I'll believe it when they're in the ring together and the bell goes for round 1 - but if this fight happens I'll have nothing but respect for Floyd"

Day after fight night...

"Man it was like Martinez grew old during the fight! Floyd never would have won against the Martinez that beat Paul Will..He needs to fight X, Y, Z if he ever wants to be considered great!"

Looks like they're getting ready to give Mackie-boy some step aside money..

I'd want step aside money and a guaranteed shot at the winner otherwise could be waiting a long time for another shot. the money wont mean much to Macklin.

sorry but given how many times Floyd AND Manny haven't made good on their promises it's hard to really take either guy seriously until well the fight is under way, not making excuses for Martinez or bashing Floyd, but there still are questions on whether Martinez can make 154 effectively more so 150, if Martinez does so without it being an issue Mayweather deserves all the credit in the world, hell he still deserves credit for picking up the fight that Manny himself avoided like crazy

150 is an unfair advantage for Martinez though, he's a 160 fighter.

Will have to give all the respect in the world to Mayweather if this fight gets made.

It may go something like " I'm sorry Floyd but a 150 division does not exist". This one won't happen. Money speaks volumes but It would be foolish for Martinez to cut himself down, just as Cotto played parlor tricks and numbers games with Manny. These two may have more in common than we thought.

No we would have to give Martinez respect for agreeing to an unfair advantage to Mayweather. It would be a miracle if he could make that weight and still make the fight competitive.

If the fight gets made at 150, then I will call Floyd a pussy and ask for an extension on his jail time. What a fag. At least go half way so that it is 154.

Floyd is big enough to make 154. If its at 150 he doesn't deserve any credit.

I highly doubt Sergio can make 150

Martinez is fighting St.Pats day 17th March against Macklin, theres no way he can make this fight in time people.

Martinez would have to abandon a planned March 17 fight with Matthew Macklin, but given the money involved in a Mayweather fight, that would not be an issue.

That said, this fight won't get made.

Alt - didn't Floyd just say that he doesn't believe in catchweights? Isn't catchweights what you disparaged Manny for in the past. If he fought ODLH at 154, fight Sergio there too. However, as long as Sergio can make 150 safely, I'd be excited about this.

Also, Alt you are one of the main haters here when it comes to Floyd-Manny.

I didn't think Floyd would do a catchweight and would fight at 154, which is best for both guys. It may be because they think Martinez is a small 160 pounder and will make 154 easy and have an advantage, so decided on 150 to even it up. Credit to both guys if the fight happens.
