Thread: Ortiz vs Berto 2 Reschedule For June

The date is going to be June 30th.

As much as I wanted to see the rematch between the two, I got real interested in see Ortiz vs Khan or even Ortiz vs Saul.

Thoughts?

I hope Berto don't become another Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy with his shoulder injury and give us the fans a good show come June.

Did Berto have surgery?
Has anyone ever came back from a shoulder injury and be effective?

It wasn't his shoulder; it was his biceps. And from the pictures, it looked like it was closer to the insertion point at the elbow than the shoulder. Presumably not as bad for a boxer.

I'm not sure if he had surgery or if they are just going to do physical therapy. A muscle tear will heal itself but depending on the placement and severity, you may want to do surgery to minimize scar tissue.

If Ortiz can actually win this fight, I'm happy to see the other fights you mention later. But if Berto heals ok, I'm still picking him to win this.

I hope Berto heals up, he is a quality fighter and really should be at the peak of his powers. Berto does have his limits, think he can be out boxed by the very elite like Floyd, but he does have very fast hands and has power. I hope he batters Ortiz this time, really annoyed at Ortiz for blowing his chances against Floyd.

Hopefully he will recover and be 100%, I want to see him beat Ortiz up.

I am of the same opinion , cant stand Ortiz, blew a great chance to impress against Floyd by acting like a total dick ,and that bloody smile drives me .
