Capello is a tit for resigning over this matter, he got rid of Terry once, so he knows the man is a twat. The team needs unity now and there is way too much division, just like the old Holland teams or even France.

I'm really happy. Capello didn't give a shit, he sepnt half his time out of the country and was just on a jolly for the money. Not sure who I want tbh - 'Arry' would be good, but he's 64 and won't be in the job for that long even if he does get it. I just think we need a complete chan ge. We should stick all the youngsters in and use the Euros as a learning event with a real view on the world cup in 2014. We nbeed to get a stable team that will have consitency for years to come. From the current squad I would only keep a few: Hart, Cole, Gerrard, Rooney, Wilshere and Parker probably. I'd stick Oxlade-Chamberlain (even if he is still green) Kyle Walker, Gary Cahill, Phil Jagielka, Phil Jones, Tom Cleverley to name a few

Good idea to bring in the youth like the German's did last time. As for a manager give it to Martin O Neil.

I reckon the FA's recent conduct has made this even more of a poisoned chalice. If Redknapp's got some sense he'll rule himself out quickly, and this will leave the FA looking at the likes of Pardew or someone from abroad. Don't think O'Neill would want it, neither would any of the Scottish brigade.

Redknapp takes this despite being fully committed to Spurs.

Only one friendly before end of season in May, then he can quit Spurs and concentrate entirely on England.

This is great news for England. All of the players & the nation will be 100% behind Harry. No other England manager in recent memory has had that. Plus zero pressure on Redknapp & England to achieve anything at the euros with such little preparation, this too can only be a good thing.

I'm a little disappointed Capello's gone, I thought we had a decent chance at the Euros this year, maybe could have made the semis. I think he was our best chance of doing well this year at least. It's a shame. Cheers anyway Fabio.

As for his replacement, it's probably going to be Redknapp, which wouldn't be too bad I suppose.There's so much clamour for an Englishmen he's the only decent option that would probably take it.

I'd like to see Scott Parker get the captaincy too, just because he has tremendous hair and runs about a lot. Ferdinand doesn't want it and probably won't play, Terry isn't allowed it, Rooney's an idiot, Cole is a cunt and I don't want Gerrard to get it cos he always looks miserable. Parker it is.

Redknapp all day long

To be honest i knew this last year and the plan then was Harry in charge and Beckham his number 2 ..this has been circling round white hart line for ages and i got a good friend who's pretty well connected at the club.

he's the only man for the job plus he's English..i'd even fancy us to do very well in the Euros with Harry..same mentality as Venebals but he's a far better tactician. To be honest mate, I didnt give this squad much chance of getting past the quarters anyway. If Fabio insisted on picking those two lumps at CB ( JT & RF ) then we were never gonna do much.
Were struggling for an inform Striker to get the goals also. This could probably be a good thing, less pressure on the players and new manager.

As ya say tho JT & the FA have caused this debacle. Hardly the best prep for a major tournament is it

couldnt agree more. A learning exercise and lets face it for first time in a long time expectation is zero ! Give the kids a go and lets all get behind them

No more Terry, Lampard or Ferdinand in the squad. I wouldnt take Gerrard either and kind of hope he gets crocked so that decision is made for the manager - whoever that may be.

This could be a very good thing in the long run
