    Default Favourite Sandwich Fillings

Ran a quick search and I'm shocked to see there are no threads on favourite sandwich fillings. Well now there is one. The reason I was thinkin of it is that I've just discovered the superb cheese and pesto sandwich. Other more normal favourites include bolognese sauce (better in a toastie), ham and chilli sauce and soft cheese and pepper.

What do you like squeezed between your slices of bread?

I could answer that another way. hehe

But I'll be serious...... Nothing. I am an extremely picky eater, and everything I eat is plain. I do not like putting anything on my sandwiches. Just meat & bread.

    Chicken & Eggs don't go with ketchup....bleh

You've got to pick proper meats & cheeses....capicola & asiago for example with a nice mustard...I prefer a basic yellow mustards but there are plenty of varieties.

chicken & goat cheese with lettuce, tomato & a honey balsamic reduction for sweet, tart, & savory all together.

A nice Cubano sandwich is quality, a Steak & Cheese, Club, BLT, hell bacon on anything is great but for fucks sake fry is, what is the deal with boiled bacon

    Bunch of pricks

Butter one slice of white bread, empty contents of one packet of salt and vinegar McCoy's, add second slice of buttered white bread and squish.

    Eat.

LOL. Reminds me of school trips when they gave us plain cheddar cheese sandwiches so we made 'em more interesting by adding crips.

Don't get me wrong...but there's a guy at work who's the wrong side of forty that still asks for a couple of crisps for his sandwich if we have lunch at the same time.

Same here. Just some nice ham, turkey, or chicken. It's all you need.

In the summer I like shaved turkey, slice of Jalna cheese, bean sprouts and beetroot slices on rye.

Closed toasties tuna, cheese and tomato. or baked beans are pretty usual for work lunches.

Open on toast, Vegemite and tomatoes is a wicked mixture on rye toast.

Im a big fan of Marmite ( our version of ya vegemite ), either on toast or in a sandwich with cheese. Today for my bait I have Pastrami and mature cheddar with a english mustard and mayo dressing in a wholemeal bun

That reminds me of sausage and bacon (or sometimes egg) sandwich with Ketchup.
