I hadnt heard of this before but apparently depending on the length of hair you can detect steroids from years ago!

From what iv read its better than urine or blood and if you pluck it out while they are stood in front of you they cant cheat (unless they are Wayne Rooney or Elton John) and its not a scary needle.

Manny has longish hair, someone should knick his hair brush, imagine all that evidence left in the shower at the wildcard gym

Judge Judy goes on about them in her court, so you could be on to something.

If hair steroids tests are legit, it would be nice if it could cancel some of the cycling that goes around.

It wouldn't look any more suspicious than any of the long list of excuses Pacquiao and his goons came up with.

I know poison (arsenic for example) can be detected from hair samples, it makes sense that PED use could be detected as well.

Hopkins is a prime candidate.

Hair samples can detect if you've taken any sort of drug over a long period of time. In fact I think they even hold up in court nowadays. I remember when Rio Ferdinand got banned from football for missing a drugs test he grew out an afro so they could take a hair sample which proved he hadn't taken any drugs.

Its probably not used because it is too thorough and easy.

Haha just think how all the Floyd - Pacman drama could of been avoided if they had both agreed just to give one hair

I've heard it's one of the more accurate tests for long term use etc, some stuff will stay in your hair for ages. Don't know whether they would be able to tell how recently anyone had taken something by the same token though. My hair is probably still full of cannaboids, apparently it takes years to clear that way
