I want to get one and connect to the Internet. Any recommendations and do I have to go wireless? I prefer the direct cable but also want to stay connect to the computer, can you do both at the same time without wireless?

Can you get Saddo on it?

the kids both have them but I do not

its basically apps and internet so you prob won't use it to be honest.

the kids just use it as a computer screen for their desktops... somthing to do with the DPI

but saying that if you have a samsung phone you will be able to airplay all your hidden porn movie files direct to your smart TV

on another note I bought the Samsung 8000 early December

Voice controlled, motion controlled, 3D, host of apps. I used them once each as a gimmick. Not used them since - complete waste of time.

Took me ages to stream from my laptop and was inconsistent - can't beat the good old USB stick.

What I have used is the built in iplayer and skype functions - but thats it. Not worth it if you ask me

yeah, same as the kids.... a TV is just that.. FOR WATCHING TV.

I think the novelty of 3D would be as novelty and used as much as a Wii... great to say look at this, then just get forgotten about.

My old big fat TV which I have had for 12 years which has never caused me problems or broken down will not die and be replaced with the smart TV.

not sure about skype as that needs a camera but you should be able to sure the site... mind you doing so with a remote control will drive you mad

mine has a camera built in for skype

as saddo says internet with a remote control is fucking ball ache - like many other of the tv feature I've used it once

Leave it out in the weather with a free to good home notice on it like everyone else does and move on .
