Default Pryor vs Mayweather at 140

First of all, it's a pleasure to finally get on here. I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, but who do you think would win. I can't pick a winner

It'd be very interesting because Pryor had great footwork and was an absolute windmill. Nowhere near the skill of a Floyd Mayweather, but you can't easily discount that kind of heart and punch output.

Still would take Floyd by wide decision.

Yeah I think Floyd counters him to death. Good question though. Sweat Pea would have been interesting at 135 or 140 for Floyd. Talk about a game of chess.

100% agreed Neighbor to the North! Pryor had the tendency to stick his chin up in the air when throwing combinations...I don't think Floyd would have trouble finding a home for his usual roll and counter uppercut or right cross. I think there would be a few knockdowns actually because Floyd would catch the Hawk off balance and with his chin in the air. Wide margin UD.

Floyd would have more trouble IMO with Arguello than Pryor

Welcome. Good question. If Pryor had Emmanuel Steward in his corner and not Panama Lewis he might have lasted into the late rounds and made it very competitive but I still think Floyd is too cute for him and picks him off late. TKO round 10.

yea... right... Pryor was the Pacquiao of the early 80's... Pryor at 140 was a beast...the greatest fightr the div ever produced. Pryor was a windmil and hit hard... May would get punked out. May would talk trash and Pryor would bitch slap him for opening his mouth. Pryor at his best was a beast... at 140,Pryor wins a close one... Leonard avoided him, what makes u think May would fight him

Agree completely. A great example of why the A beats B and B beat C therefore A beats C logic does not work I might add.

Pryor with AND without Panama Lewis. Nobody beats Aaron nobody ever in any period of time beats Aaron Pryor.

In this fight over 15 rounds, Pryor would set a electrifying pace, yes Mayweather is cute but he likes
to fight at his own pace.Floyd would have a torrid time, yes he would counter but he has never been
hit so many times in his carer.. WHAT TIME IS IT HAWK TIME.

Please before I say anything further about Mayweather/Pryor I just have to say that this old wives tale now urban legend that Ray ducked Pryor is just that. A crock of shit. Leonard routinely beat the piss out of him in sparring and Aaron was way to small to compete with any elite at 147 let alone Leonard.

Pryor never faced anyone of any note until Arguello who had fought at 130/135 his entire career and who had one fight at 140 before Pryor and Pryor needed his special black bottle to do it.

He had never seen even a reflection of a fighter similar to Floyd his entire career. His claim to fame prior to Arguello was beating up a 36 year old shot Cervantes and a one foot in the grave Gaetan Hart who had already lost about 20 times and was ko'd in about 10 of them. There is zero evidence in style or substance that he bothers Floyd at all. He'd be a freakin human dart board.

12 round chessmatch written all over it. Neither guy would come close to finishing the other. Maybe 10-15 actual FLUSH punches landed all fight (if that).
