    Default beat up in sparring

bin boxing a couple of years now, at a low level

i started with novices like myself and have moved up and i am now mixing it with people who have at least a bit of ambition and have been for a few months

Ive lost the odd round to people in sparring, especially when i first started but since i understood what is needed i dont think ive lost many and i dont ever remember losing a 3+ round spar to anyone

last night tho i did 4 twos with this lad and i lost every round, i didnt really feel like being in the gym and didnt climb into the ring in the first place with any confidence

he is 19 years younger than me and heavier and he made me feel like an old man
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend

Well, it is life. I had similar experience being 26 and fighting a 15 years old boy.

Make it work for you and learn from it. Comes a point where you can't match size, strength, youth, etc... with an opponent. So don't try. Pick your spots, watch him around the gym and pick up his habits and exploit them. Be smart. If you do it right, it isn't just a game of vitality and reflexes, but a game of patience and calculation.

Remember you have ability or you don't,! simple no ifs or buts boxing is about levels, some
people can move up in levels others can't, its a harsh fact that's boxing.
