Default why was there any question...that was a 10-8 round.

It seemed to me, the commentators were all about Trout. Trout would miss every punch and someone would say"Trouts taking over"...

and then the knockdown... that's a 10-8 round everyday... how the hell anyone wanting to call that a 10-9 is ridiculous to me. Sure, Trout held his own when he got up, but he lost the round and got knocked down..period. I've seen fights where one guy is totally dominating and gets knocked down and it's a 10-8 round... to me, ther's no question about it..10-8 all day.

There's no question it was 10-8 if you know how to score. If you don't than you're influenced by the announcers and foolishly scoring it 10-9

No question it was a 10-8 round. Trout didn't do anywhere near enough to turn that round around.

To make it 10-9 Trout would have had to really, really turned the tables, which he didn't. Not sure why they thought it could be 10-8.

It was 10-8 round, a knockdown makes it a 10-8 round and it was a good straight right hand that rocked Trout, but apart from the knockdown Canelo didn't do anything else. Trout recovered well and under normal circumstances would've taken the round.

It was definitely a 10-8 round.

Al Bernstein tends to question it when he's rooting for the fighter who gets knocked down. He can be annoying by times.

I agree, a 10-8 round all day, plus Trout was badly hurt, and did a little Zab Judah chicken dance. To Trout's credit he sucked it up and came back, but it's still a 10-8 round for Canelo.

Trout was also the "aggressor" in much of the fight, but he missed with a lot of his punches, Alavarez wasn't as busy, but he was more effective with his punches. The only real controversy in this fight was the 118-109 score by one of the judges.

I like Bernstein, but that was a 10-8 round. Period!

The only 10-9 (after KD) in my recollection is Marques vs Barrera. Barrera is almost out on his feet and boom he throws a sharp straight to KD Marquez. That would be a 10-9 Barrera round.

The referee actually didn't score that a knockdown and took a point from Barrera for hitting him while he was down. Fucking idiot Jay Nady.

Well he did hit marquez after Marquez was clearly down, so the point deduction was fair but the KD was so clear I still can't believe the ref missed it.

By the way, that really was a great fight.

Remember Holyfield battered Cooper and got heavily knocked down but still got up to batter Bert in the same round. That could have been a 10-9 or even 10-10. Also Bowe knocking down Holyfield in the 10th round of their fight could have been scored the same.
