An interesting quote stating he would have beat Hagler

I tell you now, with utter conviction, that Marcel Cerdan would have given any middleweight in history the fight of his life and would have won most head-to-head battles with his fellow greats. I certainly believe that he would have been too clever, too rugged and too hard hitting for the likes of Dick Tiger, Marvin Hagler and Bernard Hopkins. There is little doubt in my mind that Marcel would have beaten Tony Zale at any time in Tony’s career.
