This is the thread that you can banish anything you want about boxing for eternity.

Basically its a bit of fun to bitch about the things you hate about this sport

Here's my choices:

1- Cliche's like hometown fighter should win a close fight, same goes with a champ should win close fight. Aggression over boxing is another, even rounds should not be scored as this is sitting on the fence, which is utter bollocks

2 - Sanctioning Bodies, need I say more

3 - Large entourages of fighters

4 - 10 point must system

5 - Pointless divisions including Straw, Light Fly, Junior Bantam etc

Yeah maybe not a big problem in the long term but really I could of done fine without watching him stand in front of people and get punched as though not being able to become any more retarded was a skill.


Fights on at 4. A.M in the Morning

It's a guaranteed humdinger and the hype has been building for months but the fight is happening 8 hours away in Vegas and after hours and hours of drinking cheap ale and watching a shite undercard on substandard non widescreen, non HD you then promptly fall asleep and awake to hear Larry Merchant clearly even more pissed than you are asking questions in slow mo to a fighter who also doesn't really give a feck anymore.

The idea that British Fighters are given an unfair advantage at home, are over rated, feather fisted etc

It may have escaped everyone's attention that while we may have a bigger population than Puerto Rico we are hardly the U.S.A. There are half as many Brits as Mexicans so we do OK when it comes to representing ourselves and punching above our weight internationally. You can't possibly think that British Judges and reffs are more biased than German, Mexican, American, Irish etc unless you have a little bit of hate going on. Our Domestic scene is solid and we helped originate, formalise, teach and popularise the sport around the world so have some respect. Wankers.

Not showing more of the Ring Girls

Yeah it's 2013 but they are there. If they were granted any meaningful airtime then you can guarantee that Youngblood or Master would have started a thread about them, but no they are marginalised and the role they play as women is forgotten about and demoted as an unimportant footnote. I am not asking for their own show but do we really need the cameraman or producer to specifically ignore them on purpose when nothing particularly watcthable is happening ?

TV Adverts in-between rounds

Boxers predicting what round they KO an opponent.

Commentators that start talking about fighters personal lives during intense fights when they should be talking about whats going on in the ring.

John McCain and the other cnuting politicians who pretend they're going to "clean up boxing" around the time they're up for re-election to buy themselves some working man cred. They get a ton of publicity, hold a few hearings and go back to doing fuck all about it.

PPV and having adverts is a joke but to have them both is a smack in the face to boxing fans staying up at 4 in the morning.
