My friend used to box amateur with Kendall. He said he was a real tough guy, the kind of guy you want on your side in a brawl. He had a kind of rough-house style, and it eventually pissed off Foster, which was essentially the end of the fight.

I knew the name but couldn't place him but I remember the fight with Foster! Fosters punches were..........different! hahaha!!!! That guy could dig in!! Kendal didn't look good in there but was actually a number one contender and refering to boxrec he fought everyone back in the late 60s and he won a few I think most would be surprised at!! He was only stopped a few times with 65 bouts?
Very tuff guy without alot of talent but sure had heart and was a contender for about 6 years!! Ray
Very tough guy just going by the end of that fight. Foster was teeing off with some vicious uppercuts in the corner there, almost had shades of Mercer-Morrison only Kendall was never right sparked out.
One often forgets just how good Fosters jab was because of his crushing power. Had he been born with a heavyweight chin he may have been unstoppable. I immediately reminisced about the Ali fight. Bob stayed with him jab for jab.
Foster was a monster, looks like Hearns but with more variety and better punch resistance! He would have beaten Roy Jones and would have loved him against Spinks.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
