That was poor form from Nathan, I do like him as a fighter and I am really disappointed that he didn't try and box Kolalev more. He never got going at all and that was such a disappointment because he does have good boxing ability and he just thought he could take the punches and everything would be fine. Seeing that happening to him though I just see Froch doing a similar thing to Nathan, I'm glad that fight will never happen.

I think anyone half decent with a punch and world class experience would've had a great chance to beat Cleverly, let alone Froch. That was/is a total mismatch. Cleverly does have talent but he doesn't know how to fight and it seems he was matched up the way he was for a reason. It's going to be tough for him to prove otherwise at this point, and he'd probably be smart to do something else with his life.

Froch is a tough one to figure. He looks ordinary most of the time but he seems to be able to step up his game depending on the style. At least he stays in shape.

Cleverly changed his style for most he was a boxer, trouble is he wants to entertain the fans
standing toe to toe, it's not Cleverly Froch can and has been out boxed he has been on 2 occasions
he is very tough, but when the likes of Kolalev hits you down you go, he must punch like a beast
as he hit Nathan on the temple, down he went.
Honest I was thinking Kolalev was just a hype job, I was totally wrong he had a amateur record over
200 fights losing only 8 times, this guy slipped under the radar.

Froch may have beaten Cleverly but he would not have destroyed him the way Kolalev did.

Being from a lower weight class, it may have taken a couple of rounds longer.

    how good is Kolarev?

he looked very good against a very good champion

I don't think any other of the big names in the LHW division would have dealt with Clev as comfortably

saying Froch would have been at the same weight, I would expect him to beat Cleverly but definitely not as quickly

Froch needs to beat ward and retire.
Thats what froch needs to do.
Catch ward at these early post surgery stages is his best chance.
