    Default RJJ vs Tyson

I noticed someone post something about this yesterday and it got me thinking.

In 2003 RJJ was heavyweight champion of the world, while Tyson had just lost to Lewis.

Both primes were just about over as Tyson had 1 more win and then all losses until he retired and RJJ had 1 win then 3 losses, followed by a mixture of both for the rest of his career.

    2003 who would have won?
    You say tomato,
    ‘n I say …… it correctly.

A poor as Tyson was then he would have beaten Roy because he only had to land once. Roy could not wear down Tyson with the weight either which is how Williams and the Irish fighter beat him.

James Toney would have beaten Tyson however.

He also wanted to fight Buster Douglas in hs comeback, then Holyfield but ran when they agreed.

He was notorious for talking about fights then runnining when the opponent agreed.

Tarver even drew a cartoon of him being forced in to the ring with Ruiz.

That's how I see it right there.

I have no idea who would have won, but agree that Tyson would only have to land once to end it. He is so much naturally bigger than Roy he could have broken his neck with a hook, mind you he was completely washed up and may not have been able to pull the trigger. Has to be mentioned that Tyson never fought a man that small and was always beaten by guys that could take his punch and match his strength, so who knows.

I'm sure James Toney would've jumped at the chance to fight Jones at HW, and that would have been a great rematch with much more intrigue.
