Hey folks,
Been did some research on Pulev, watched some of his fights and thought to myself- he REALLY is way too much of a "live guy" for the HW division. He looks like he should be a hard-hitting MW with all of his movement and action.
Plus, he is extremely nimble and mobile on his feet. He doesn't lumber and drag around, he floats and glides very gracefully. Has a solid punch as well, but he is silky smooth on the waist movement and foot movement. Moderate speed and pretty good accuracy. BUT, his main saving grace is his movement and gentle flow of the fight. After reviewing I said to myself "Ali". HW's are gonna have a problem with him- they aren't used to that type of mobility and agility. Chris Byrd comes to mind to a certain degree as well- a prime Chris Byrd who made guys miss and stumble and look stupid all night!
He probably won't be avoided, because it is impossible to avoid him and easy to mistake him for a pushover BECAUSE his main-grace is his agility and movement.
He should get a shot at Wlad after Wlad finishes up with Povetkin. I can watch that fight and watch him dance around and win on points vs. Wlad.
I think we can all say that after Stiverne, Vitali is pretty much retired. No?
I sincerely doubt Vitali takes a fight vs. Pulev. WBC will be up for grabs after Vitali UD's Stiverne, and that's how it will be.
Here are the rankings for Vitali's belt: (which they should change, tbth)
WBC
Vitali Klitschko
1. Bermane Stiverne
2. Seth Mitchell (THA FUCK OUTTA HUR!!)
3. Chris Arreola
4. Magomed Abdusalamov (Pulev should be here)
5. Tomasz Adamek (Adamek down at 9, Magomed here)
6. Tyson Fury
7. David Haye
8. Manuel Charr
9. Kubrat Pulev
10. Deontay Wilder
11. Odlanier Solis
12. Jonathan Banks
13. Fres Oquendo
14. Franklin Lawrence
15. Eric Molina
There you have it for Pulev. A Pulev vs. Wilder/Adamek/Charr or Solis wouldn't be a bad match to make. Depending on the promoters, the HW's can be exciting again and be back to the last great era of the mid to late 90's.
