    Default Floyds jab

please don't say I'm an idiot and know nothing about boxing. That may be true but it would hurt my feelings. I can't figure out why no one has figured out Floyd's jab. Granted, it is one of the best of jabs I have seen but for years his opponents have been watching the tapes and still get whacked every time he throws it. I know the answer is he is just to good. Come to think of it I don't think many protected against Paulies jab but Floyd's jab is on another planet. I think he could win a fight with his jab. Well, I know the answer I guess I just want to talk about Floyd's jab. Do you think it is one of the best in recent history.

Everything Floyd does in the ring is great, fantastic, the greatest, excellent, unbelievable, marvelous, smooth, sweet and magnificent. Lets leave it at that.
Here's a new word just for you. floydian floyd-i-an: excellent, perfect.
The man moved with floydian grace and speed. The man chewed gum with nonchalance and floydian concentration, it was unbelievable.

I still don't like him, just his jab. Had canelo won, I would never speak of him again.

His punching form in general is exceptional, but I think more than that is he just knows exactly which punches to throw when, against whoever he is facing. He relies on his jab a lot more when he wants to come forward and create his own openings, he actually kept Canelo backing up more often than the other way around which I didn't think would happen. I can never understand whether he just chooses not to reveal game plans after the fact, or is completely incapable of articulating what he obviously knows about boxing. Just goes to show that kinetic intelligence is quite an exclusive thing, it's hard to believe somebody who is so smart in the ring can interview like someone who just entered the 3rd grade and provide no insight whatsoever into why he was so effective time and time again

I thinks that its off an ever mobile base but with the ever present accuracy. Not saying its a flick throw away lead but anyone punched square in the nose is always resetting, ever so small he is registering a shot and reacting..meanwhile Mayweather is a master mobile and shifting you into counters before you decide what to throw. Hes not the fooking Matrix or a Davud Carradine Grasshopper but Floyd has killer anticipation and read on a guy. Did I mention, I cant stand the guy.

Floyd's always had a great jab, especially to the body. He utilized it a lot more back in his lighter, "boxer/puncher" days.

Roy Jones was the same way, great speed that he could double or even quadruple with great ease. But as he progressed in his career he abandoned it, much like Floyd.

Maybe Roy and Floyd figured that jabs were too "constant" and made them easier to counter? Who knows.

Look, everyone is entitled to their opinion, so I'll apologize to you for my, over the top, sarcasm. Floyd is a great boxer, maybe the best but he is not a superhero.
