I think he is one of the better announcers in boxing. Clear, concise. Catches everything. Explains things so those new to boxing can learn a few things. Does a great job every time he announces.

Never heard him talk. Read his columns...Look, he started out as a pro wrestling writer in the 80s. KO was put out by the same people that did Inside Wrestling, and the writers crossed over. He knew fuck all about boxing then, and didn't learn shit for 20 years. Much like Lampley, I think, in his inability to understand what he is watching.
At least in my experience with him, and I gave up years ago. Ryan was another pro wrestling crossover.

My vote for best boxing commentator goes to former boxer, Steve Holdsworth, calling the 1st Ruslan Chagaev/Sedreck Fields fight:

"Well, let's just hope he does a Robert Davis on Sedreck Fields and lands a knockout punch in the very 1st rd which I doubt actually which is a bit of a shame."

"And Fields is well I think next to useless personally, but that's my own personal opinion. Y'know he's not only incredibly annoying, but he does pick up the odd win now-and-then...sadly."

"And one thing Sedreck Fields doesn't have, ahah, as well as not having much of a right hand, he's got no left hook to speak of either."

"...'please point out Sedreck Fields' best attributes'.
Well I'll tell you what they are actually, um, we don't see them that often."

"Please stay down Sedrick. Yep, he has."

"So Sedreck Fields beaten in 2 rds here by Ruslan Chagaev, and that's put me out of my misery, and hopefully you as well."

He's no Lampley (the Gold standard) but he's a lot better than everyone else.

Dream host cast: Lampley, Farhood and Mallinaggi.

Not heard Holdsworth for ages but he was always hilarious/nuts.

Just looking on youtube but there's only Akinwande-McNeeley.

"McNeeley has a nice paper record but he's useless in reality" - "Down goes McNeeley and the front two rows are covered in glass" - "He could stand in for Herman Munster and doesn't need makeup"

    I like Steve too.

The Eurosport presenter is funny more than good.
