Interesting. I just looked and there are 17 Mayweather threads on the 1st page. Not one is started by a fan of Mayweather. On a string.

The funny thing is though, nobody has ever actually been able to come up with any logic as to why any of my opinions concerning Mayweather are wrong.

I made a thread a few months ago with documented, indisputable evidence that Floyd never ducked the guys that haters say he ducked. All the haters must have missed it because nobody had an answer to it.
I guess it sucks to have someone call you out on your bullshit.

Like I said before, I'm not a fan of Mayweather as a person and was rooting hard for Maidana to knock him out last night. But the bottom line is, the guy is a genius in the ring and probably the greatest boxing talent of all time. He's been a champion for 16 years - in which time he's fought nothing but fellow champions and top 10 contenders - and he's never lost. That kind of consistent greatness is unheard of.

I'd love to believe that Mayweather is a bum who's ducked everyone good and he'd get killed by all of the past greats, but that's just not the truth.

Not agreeing that Floyd is " probably the greatest boxing talent of all time " does not mean that your detractors are full of bullshit or that ANY of them believe he is a bum. Look at your first sentence again

Any of your opinions ? To be honest any amount of logic, a spade full, a heap full, a mountains worth is not going to disprove your opinions because just like your OPINION that Mayweather is the greatest of all time, that is all they are, opinions. The kind of greatness you describe as unheard of is not that at all unless you dismiss those who have already been described in such terms. Which is exactly what you do. FMJ is a great boxer not agreeing that he is the Greatest ever is not the same thing as dismissing him or being a "hater". I guess it sucks to have someone call you out on your bullshit.

Why does Mayweather shoulder the blame? How can you accuse a guy of ducking someone when the guy OFFERED to fight the guy?

Floyd offered him 40 million to fight him, Pac didn't like the money and didn't bother to make a counter offer, he just fucked off. This is a documented fact from people who were a part of the negotiations.

Then Floyd caved on the money and it was 50/50, and then Manny didn't want to take a drug test. And another fact that is conveniently forgotten: Manny's camp sent Mayweather's camp two emails regarding the drug testing. One asked "what is the penalty if Pacquiao tests positive" and the other asked "if Pacquaio tests positive, can the result be kept secret in the interest of the fight and boxing in general". Again, these were documented and sourced by people who were involved in the camps and actually saw them.

It's just more biased, anti-Floyd idiocy. I'm willing to bet that at least 80% of the people on this forum believed he also ducked prime Mosley, prime De La Hoya, prime Cotto, ect ect. It's just complete ignorance.

No, you're purposely misquoting me. I have no issue if people don't think Floyd is the greatest of all time. There were a ton of great fighters over the last 100 years, there's no shame in people thinking, let's say, SRR was the best ever. I don't call people idiots for haters for not buying Mayweather as TBE. I've NEVER done that.

I've never said that no other fighter reached a comparable level of greatness. Again, you're setting up straw man arguments. What I said was that Floyd's run, which includes 18 years of undefeated pro-boxing and 16 of those years fighting on a championship level, is unprecedented. And it is. Nobody has fought consistently world class opposition for so long and not only haven't lost, but have had very few competitive fights.

If you don't think Mayweather is an ATG after what he's accomplished, you're an idiot. Plain and simple. If you don't think Mayweather is a top 10 ATG, you're opinion on anything boxing related is absolutely worthless.

And this theory that "an opinion is just an opinion, all are equal in the eyes of god, an opinion can't be wrong" is complete nonsense. Opinions can be completely worthless if they are baseless or coming from a place of ignorance.

If you say "well in my opinion Floyd ducked prime Oscar, Mosley, and Cotto because he never fought them in their primes" and I respond by giving you DOCUMENTED written/video proof that Floyd called these guys out in their "primes" and these guys were the ones who turned it down, guess what? Your opinion is shit. It's been blown out of the water by FACT.
