Daniel Geale vs. Matthew Macklin is off, because they cancelled the HBO event after an injury to Mike Perez.

There's now a good chance of Daniel Geale vs. Gennady Golovkin in July on HBO.

I think Golovkin will get him though.

i would be happy if this fight happened. since it looks like his fight with chavez jr fell through, this would be a good replacement.

geale isnt an elite opponent but he has beaten some good fighters, GGG hasnt really fought many in his class, if he does a similar job on him as he did macklin then that will be impressive

i dont think he can be ignored after that

This is a better fight, GGG stopping Geale would show the world that Golovkin is the real deal.

Unfortunately for him there are no elite fighters in the div. You'll be sleeping a long time

If you see Chavez junior fight GGG then we will see an exciting fight. Junior is not signing.

Geale is a solid former world champion with some pretty good wins on his resume. Geale's a top five middleweight. This is a slight step up in competition in my opinion for GGG. I rate Geale a little bit above where I rate Macklin.
