I womder how many would have paid for Benn Eubank back in the day?

Bet it would have been in the millions. For all the talk of it being a big fight and selling huge numbers of tickets, I saw big empty spaces in that arena.

really where did you see that figure ? That's impressive

The HBO average viewing figure was 700,000 with a peak of 830,000. Bear in mind it was an afternoon show not primetime. For context - It beat the primetime card of Stevenson-Fonfara (650 av 800 peak). Froch-Kessler rematch, which was in the same HBO slot, peaked at 490,000 viewers.

Some blocks of seats were closed off because of visibility issues. 10,000 on the pitch alone. For context - that's more than what's expected for Fury-Chisora yet they're fighting in an arena that holds 20,000.

Apparently not even close to that, It was only set up for 10,000, you can still get seats anywhere, the sales are so poor Warren has added 16 fights to the undercard.

Neither Fury or Chisora have any fanbase (compared to big stars like Haye, Froch etc)

If you go on eventim you get a view of the arena on the night and half the seats are being blocked off meaning only 10 000 seats have gone on general sell and having just lookd at the seating plan I'd estimate about 6000 tickets have been sold so far. Having said that Haye - Fury had sold out easily and the ppv sells in the UK were close to 1 million.

Load of hype Froch v Groves did not desreve to be PPV. 24 hours sky hype and media newspaper propaganda. The worst thing would be that they think they deserve it for every fight like Degale v Froch.

I was really excited for this fight n tuned in on dvr of course.

It was a so-so fight up til the KO. Was rooting for Froch so I was happy. But it was hardly a classic.

Has anyone see this fight since it happend? Can't find it on youtube

Yeah the first fight was exciting but the second was a bit dull. Although the figures involved may make it the boggest fight in British history, the action itself is not worthy of being called the biggest fight in British history.
