Yes he worked at KFC in Launceston, Tasmania. He worked the frier. He even wore the KFC cap and uniform when he was 16. His humble start in life has kept him very grounded. He is an absolute gentleman to meet. Geale even jokes that when he was beating Sturm his three young kids wanted to watch cartoons instead of the telecast from Germany of him unifying the middleweight title.
