I know we all have issues with that spoiled little brat with the lazy training habits and the terrible diet to the point he is sometimes 15 pounds overweight. But, should he have been in the ring last night at that level of an opponent at that much of a weight step up?
Blame it on Chavez Jr. as well for his lack of discipline, not picking a weight class and staying in it due to his poor dietary habits and lack of true training.
But, with regard to safety, seeing that he was out of the ring for nearly a year after his last fight, and for the fact that it was at a catch-weight for his benefit, I think he chose the wrong time, wrong weight and wrong opponent to come back at.
Blame it on his handlers too for wanting things "their way". Shoots, if Jr. wanted a new weight division they would give it to him. A roving weight division. lolol...
But he should not have been in the ring last night at that level, at that weight and for being so inactive prior. It's more than just being arrogant, it was dangerous for him as a fighter health-wise.
