Default Amir Khan keen to represent Pakistan at Olympic Games in Rio

Amir Khan keen to represent Pakistan at Olympic Games in Rio | Boxing News | Sky Sports

This is almost certainly waffle as he was in Pakistan when interviewed where he's worshipped.

Is is right to represent two different countries?

I'm sure that I read earlier that his little brother Haroon was banned from representing Pakistan as he had already represented England so I'm pretty sure that Amir wouldn't be able to either

Khan, who rose to prominence in 2004 when he claimed gold for Great Britain at the Games in Athens, is instead looking into the possibility of representing Pakistan, the country of his father's birth.

The 29-year-old's younger brother, Haroon, was not allowed to represent Pakistan at London 2012 having already featured for England as a youth boxer but Khan is still keen to pursue the option.
Found it in an article from the Independent

Well that backfired on Haroon. He represented Pakistan at the 2010 Commonwealth games.

That reiterates the question of - should you be allowed to represent two countries? This doesn't count for Amir Khan but if Haroon wasn't good enough to qualify for the British team he gets to qualify for the far weaker Pakistan team.

Khan will go to any lengths to avoid a decent welterweight

Khan is a grade A cunt and opportunist. I think he would be an ideal promoter.

Its all about ego for Con. He wants the gold and could care less about who he has to step on to get there. I hope he loses to a Bronze medalist.

Khan will not do it, if he lost he would bring great shame to the profession and he would become a laughing stock.

Through making these comments, and getting involved with the dodgy AIBA, who just are wannabee boxing promoters on state money, he has finally TOTALLY discredited himself. You all know what the average Brits response will be, F off back to Pakistan then, the country that sheltered Osama Bin Laden.

I agree with them. Or at least it wouldn't be the biggest shock in the World.

If Khan gets knocked out he should just kill himself. That being said, read on a site that the WBC will ban him for two years if indeed does fight. Probably a strategic move for exposure and to avoid fighting actual pros.
